FITE Travel Grants for DDW 2026

The FITE Executive Board’s Chair and Vice-Chair invite applications from fellows and allied healthcare professionals (AHPs) who will be presenting high-quality research at DDW 2026. A total of five travel grants will be awarded, each valued at $500.

We encourage program directors, mentors, and colleagues to share this opportunity with eligible 4th-year fellows, nurses, physician assistants, research coordinators, and other allied healthcare professionals involved in gastrointestinal endoscopy research.

Types of grants

Five awards of $500

Gold · 4th-year fellows

Three (3) awards

$500 each. Eligibility limited to 4th-year fellows.

Gold · open category

One (1) award

$500. Open to fellows and allied healthcare professionals.

Gold · AHP

Allied Healthcare Professionals

Nurses, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, endoscopy technicians, clinical research coordinators, research nurses, and other professionals involved in GI endoscopy practice or research.

Application requirements

To complete your application for the FITE Travel Grants for DDW 2026, please prepare and upload the following documents through the online submission form:

  • Curriculum Vitae (CV)
  • Accepted Abstract
  • DDW 2026 Presenter Notification Confirmation

Grant submission criteria

  • Must be a U.S. citizen or U.S. permanent resident (green card holder)
  • Must be the presenting author of an abstract accepted for oral presentation at DDW 2026
  • Abstract must relate to interventional or therapeutic gastrointestinal endoscopy
  • Poster presentations are not eligible
  • Eligible study types: Phase II–IV clinical studies, retrospective studies, prospective studies, and other outstanding or innovative studies selected by DDW for oral presentation in a topic or research forum
  • Must attend DDW 2026 and present the abstract in person at the scheduled time and date
  • Applicants must be FITE members or become members prior to the award date (May 1, 2026)
  • 4th Year Fellow Gold Award applicants must be currently enrolled in, or beginning, their 4th year of fellowship training
  • Only one abstract submission per applicant will be considered for the travel grant
